Prevention & Diagnostic Services, Inc. (PDSI) was formed in early 2023 and it was incorporated in 2024 in Washington, DC by Ivan C.A. Walks, MD. PDSI is an outgrowth of Dr. Walks’ 32 years of healthcare policy, executive leadership, operations management, and healthcare program management expertise in the public and the private sector for a large behavioral health company with operations in 50 states and as the Chief Health Officer and Director of the Department of Health for the Government of the District of Columbia, and as the Chief Medical Officer for a large DC-based managed care company.

PDSI is a full-service Healthcare Management services company structured to provide an extensive suite of Healthcare Management and Managed Care Organization (MCO)/Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) Services to public and private sector clients including federal and local government healthcare agencies, large physician group practices, commercial health insurance carriers, hospitals, and allied healthcare entities. The services provided by PDSI are geared toward enhancing health care program management, health and wellness programs, prevention and diagnostic services, positive health outcomes, operational efficiency, program management, cost containment, quality controls and regulatory compliance.

PDSI also has a multi-faceted innovative program to address the Social Determinants of Health (SDOH), and this program will provide significant benefits to our members to improve healthcare outcomes and to generate program cost savings for our Payors.
